Being Present
Being born and raised in Hawaii and going through the public school
system made me aware of the challenges we all face at various stages in our lives. Whether it is anxiety from life transitions, low self-esteem that became depression, or behavioral issues that lead to diagnoses, I'd like to help you improve your quality of life and find your true self. We will look at where the current view of yourself and others came from and how this has impacted your ability to emotionally regulate in stressful situations. Together, we will figure out the goals that you want to achieve and a guide on how to get there.
In therapy, we will look at your attachment needs and longings, traumatic or meaningful experiences, and ways of coping or dealing. We will work collaboratively to shape these past views and experiences into helpful solutions and strengths in difficult situations.
We will take part in humanistic, experiential, and solution focused therapy. This requires me to be present, listening without judgement, and learning how and when to push you out of your comfort zone. You are the expert in your life and I'm merely here to guide you in finding the best version that you'd like to achieve.
